CASCADE-FELLOWS offers exciting career opportunities for young experienced researchers in all areas of Life Sciences. Fellows choose the research topic, location and Host Organisation. You need to show that your work will build European competitiveness, that you have collaborated with your Host Organisation to develop your proposal, and that your host is prepared to support 60% of the costs of your fellowship.
CASCADE-FELLOWS promotes international mobility for young researchers and encourages knowledge exchange between academia and industry. You will work in a collaborative atmosphere that will help you to establish networks in the academic and private sectors, and will have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s most eminent research organisations in the field. You will develop leadership qualities in interesting environments and we will provide opportunities to learn new techniques and skills.
The programme runs for five years from 31 May 2013. All 25 places are now filled. The fellows from the first two calls are now in post; the third and fourth calls are currently in the process of being appointed by their host organisations.

You must not have lived or worked in the country you are applying to for more than 12 months in the 3 years up to the call's closing date. Non-EU citizens must choose to work in the EU or in one of the Associated Countries.
You will be paid at rate set by the programme for your Host Organisation country, including a travel/mobility allowance.Your Host Organisation will also receive a research allowance to support equipment etc needed for your work but must be prepared to provide matched funding for 60% of your total costs. Research projects must be a minimum of 12 and maximum of 24 months.
Can your organisation take on a young international Experienced Researcher?
The programme is free to join and open to Host Organisations all over the world, provided researchers meet EU Marie Curie mobility rules. We can offer you 40% cofunding to employ talented researchers to carry out 12-24 month projects in your organisation, including a fixed contribution towards overheads costs.
